Made in France: why David & Clément chose not to offshore

When creating a furniture brand for cyclists, the question of manufacturing arises very early on. Offshoring is often cheaper. But at David & Clément, we made a different choice from day one: to manufacture in France.

Why this choice?

Because we want to control every step. The selection of stainless steel, cutting, bending, brushing, assembly — everything is done in our workshop. This level of control allows us to guarantee consistent quality and react quickly if an adjustment is needed.

A product designed to last for decades

Local manufacturing is not a marketing argument. It's a commitment to durability. A David & Clément stainless steel stand is a one-time purchase. No maintenance, no replacement needed. You invest once, for years.

Carbon footprint as a design criterion

Less transport, fewer intermediaries, less superfluous packaging. Manufacturing in France is also an environmental decision consistent with our vision of soft and sustainable mobility.

Every stand sold is a vote for a French, artisanal, and responsible industry.
