Why stainless steel?
Brushed stainless steel is David & Clément's material of choice for a simple reason: it's virtually indestructible and requires very little maintenance. But "stainless" doesn't mean "zero maintenance." Here's how to keep your stand looking like new.
Regular cleaning
A slightly damp microfiber cloth is sufficient to remove dust and fingerprints. Always wipe in the direction of the brushing to avoid scratching the finish. Avoid abrasive sponges and chlorinated products.
Stubborn stains
For chain oil or grease stains, use a little mild dish soap diluted in warm water. Rinse and dry immediately with a dry cloth.
Maintenance of fasteners
Check the tightness of the wall mounting screws every 6 months. A well-secured support is a safe support. If you notice any play, tighten with an appropriate screwdriver.
Long-term protection
A thin layer of mineral oil applied once a year to the stainless steel creates an additional protective barrier, especially in humid environments (garage, cellar).
