From the workshop to your wall: the manufacturing process of a David & Clément bike rack

Every David & Clément bike rack is the result of a rigorous manufacturing process, carried out from start to finish in our Breton workshop. Here is a behind-the-scenes look at our Made in France production.

Step 1: Material selection

Everything begins with the choice of stainless steel. We select brushed stainless steel sheets and profiles from certified French suppliers. Each batch is checked for composition and surface quality before entering production.

Step 2: Precision cutting

The parts are cut using precision tools that guarantee perfectly repeatable dimensions. This step is crucial to ensure the perfect alignment of components during assembly.

Step 3: Brushed finish

The brushed finish is applied manually, piece by piece. This is the most technical stage: it requires consistency and expertise to achieve a uniform and aesthetically perfect result.

Step 4: Quality control

Before packaging, each piece is visually and mechanically inspected. We check the strength of the fasteners, the quality of the finish, and compliance with specifications. Only perfect pieces leave our workshop.

Step 5: Careful packaging

The customer experience begins the moment the package is received. Our bike racks are carefully packed to avoid any risk of scratching during transport, using eco-designed packaging that reflects our values.
