Every David & Clément mount travels a path before arriving at your home. This path begins in our Breton workshop and ends against your wall, with your bike on it. Here is what happens in between.
Step 1: design
Everything starts at the drawing board — literally and figuratively. Each new model is designed with three simultaneous constraints in mind: structural strength, aesthetics, and ease of installation for the end user. Prototypes are manufactured, tested, and adjusted. Sometimes, several iterations are necessary before arriving at the final product.
Step 2: cutting and bending
The brushed stainless steel bars are cut to exact dimensions and then bent with precision. Each angle is checked. The slightest approximation would be visible to the naked eye on such a sleek piece.
Step 3: assembly and finishing
The elements are assembled, any necessary welds are concealed, and the surfaces are verified. The brushed finish is uniform across the entire piece. Each mount is manually inspected before being packaged.
Step 4: packaging and shipping
The mount is carefully packaged to avoid any scratches during transport. The hardware necessary for installation is included, along with an illustrated assembly guide. We ship from Brittany to all of France and Europe.
Simple, expert, local. That is the David & Clément way.
