Common materials on the market
In the market for wall-mounted bike racks, there are three main types of materials: plastic, painted steel, and aluminum. Each has its advantages, but also important limitations to be aware of before buying.

Stainless steel (or inox) is a steel alloy containing at least 10.5% chromium. It is this chromium that forms an invisible protective layer on the metal's surface, making it naturally resistant to corrosion — without paint or additional treatment.
